Veritus is a real-time signup fraud detection service. We score each new signup against email, phone, IP, and password-breach signals, then return allow, review, or block in under 500 ms.
You integrate Veritus into your signup flow in one of two ways: a drop-in JavaScript widget that runs in your customer's browser, or a server-side API call from your backend. Either way, the verdict comes back fast enough to gate form submission.
What problem this solves
Fake signups waste your time, your support inbox, and your reputation with email providers when bounces accumulate. The usual culprits:
- Disposable email addresses (mailinator.com, 10minutemail.com, …)
- Datacentre IPs pretending to be residential users
- Stolen passwords already in known breach corpora
- Country claims that don't match the IP's geolocation
- Bot-filled forms (we have a honeypot for that too)
Veritus stacks these signals into a single 0–100 score with explicit reasons attached, so you can defend a verdict if a real user complains.
